Using GenAI Responsibly in Graduate School: Notebook LM Basics
Description: Various Generative AI programs are becoming integrated into everyday life, but best practices for how to use the technology in educational contexts is still very much up for debate. This webinar will introduce Notebook LM, a major Generative AI software made by Google. Notebook LM is designed to organize and work more easily with a large number of documents than many other models, so it lends itself to use in academic research. We will cover some effective and ethical ways to begin exploring the program in graduate school through scenarios and use cases. As always, we will discuss the challenges that GenAI use can create for the learning process while also examining its positive potential in higher education.
