Western Positive Psychology Association 2017 Conference
Welcome to the Western Positive Psychology Association (WPPA) 2017 Conference! The WPPA meeting aims to bring together a collaborative scientific community of faculty, students, and scholars to advance and support rigorous, evidence-based empirical research in the science of happiness, excellence and optimal human functioning. The theme of the 2nd WPPA Conference is "Positive Psychology for Societal Impact", and it will be held on January 21, 2017 on the Claremont Graduate University campus in Claremont, California, USA.
Lunch options: Campus dining is available at Scripps College until 1pm at a discounted rate of $8 per person. OR Explore a variety of food options at the eclectic restaurants at the nearby Claremont Village.
From the 10 Fwy: Exit Indian Hill Blvd and head north. (Westbound 10: Right on Indian Hill Blvd. Eastbound 10: Left on Indian Hill Blvd.) Turn right on Arrow Route. Turn left on College Ave. Continue 11 blocks north to 11th St. Turn right on 11th St. 11th St. becomes Drucker Way at College Ave. The parking lots on the right and left sides of Drucker Way will be clearly marked. (The Burkle Family Building is located on the south-west corner of 11th St/Drucker Way & Dartmouth Ave. The workshops will be held downstairs on the 1st floor.)
From the 210 Fwy: Exit Towne Ave and head south. (Westbound 210: Left on Towne Ave. Eastbound 210: Right on Towne Ave.) Continue south about 1 mile. Turn left on Foothill Blvd (first major cross street). Continue past Indian Hill Blvd. Turn right on Dartmouth Ave (first stoplight after Indian Hill Blvd). Turn right on Drucker Way/11th St. Parking lots to the right and left sides of Drucker Way will be clearly marked. Airport: The most convenient airport to Claremont is the Ontario International Airport in Ontario California: http://www.lawa.org/ont/ontframe.html. Transportation from the airport to area hotels can be arranged through the telephones at the ground transportation board in the baggage claim areas. Taxi service or a shuttle to the car rental office can also be found at these terminals.
