Avimanyu (Avi) Datta is a Professor of Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship and the 2023-2-24 Gemberling Faculty Scholar of Business at Illinois State University. He is also the director of the George R. and Martha Means Center for Entrepreneurial Studies. He earned his PhD from Washington State University in 2011. In addition, he is a visiting Research Scholar at Hitotsubashi University, Tokyo, Japan.
His research intersects the areas of Strategy, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship. His work has been published in journals such as Information Systems Research, Technovation, Journal of Business Research, Technology Forecasting and Social Change, Journal of International Management, R&D Management, Journal of Small Business Management, and Management Decision.
