Brittney Rodriguez is the clinical practice and assessment coordinator in CGU’s Department of Teacher Education. As an alumna of the program, she is an educator who is highly invested in teacher development and retention. She believes that the creativity and love of an educator can permeate the space and place of any learning environment—to create meaningful experiences with their students. Her social justice agenda begins with the support of teachers in their ongoing growth as professionals, as she believes that social change is most successfully initiated within the four walls of a classroom.

Before entering her current role, Rodriguez developed her skills through teaching high school English, followed by additional roles in the CGU Teacher Education Department. She also served as a credential and practicum coordinator for another teacher education program, specifically for music candidates.

Rodriguez earned her bachelor’s degree in English literature from California State University, Northridge and a master’s degree in Education from Claremont Graduate University.
