David Estudiante (he/him/his) is the Interim Director of Student Engagement & Retention at Claremont Graduate University. He is an alumnus of the University of Arkansas with a BA in psychology and political science, and is currently pursuing a master’s in education and student affairs. As a graduate student himself, he understands the diverse needs and challenges graduate scholars encounter throughout their academic journey.
Prior to his time at CGU, Estudiante served in a management role in the business industry. He has experience leading diverse teams with a strong commitment to service-oriented leadership. He is also a trio scholar, successfully completing the Upward Bound program. Being a first-generation college graduate, he is committed to serving marginalized and underrepresented communities and creating equity in education. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his dog, Lulu, and continuing to explore California. Growing up in Northwest Arkansas, he enjoys hiking and each September he does an annual camping trip in Washington state with a group of friends.
