Fernando Peña is director of recruitment at Claremont Graduate University. He primarily oversees recruitment and admissions for the Drucker School of Management.
Prior to his role at CGU, he was the director of admissions and enrollment management for the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television, where he managed admissions and recruitment for 12 highly-selective graduate degree programs and two undergraduate degree programs. Prior to this role, Peña spent six years at the University of Southern California where he managed undergraduate and graduate admissions for the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. He began his admissions career at the University of California, Santa Barbara as a high school outreach counselor prior to joining USC.
He holds a master’s degree in postsecondary administration and student affairs from the University of Southern California, and a bachelor’s degree in Chicana and Chicano studies with a minor in education and applied psychology from UC Santa Barbara.
