Gizel Avina is associate director of gifts accounting & database administration at Claremont Graduate University.
Avina has been at Claremont Graduate University since August 2018 working as advancement associate, where she assisted both the Office of Development & External Relations and the Office of Marketing & Communications. Prior to working at CGU, Avina was the Museum Store & Guest Services Coordinator for the American Museum of Ceramic Art in Pomona and a residential advisor and tutor for Cal Poly Pomona’s Upward Bound, part of that institution’s Pre‐College Institute/TRIO Programs.
She holds a master’s degree in public administration with a concentration in leadership from California State University, San Bernardino, and a bachelor’s degree in art history from University of La Verne.
