Janette Neumann has served as the induction coordinator in CGU’s Department of Teacher Education since 2019. Neumann earned her teaching credential at Chapman University and a master’s degree from California State University, San Bernardino. She uses skillsets developed through experiences as a teacher, curriculum developer, professional learning facilitator, and former administrator at Corona Norco Unified School District to support teachers and teams as they develop skills and capacities that enhance classroom practices and promote student learning. Along with a passion for instruction, Neumann believes in the power of colleagues working together to study and improve practice. She also believes in empowering students through problem-solving and inquiry within a healthy school and classroom ecology. A certified cognitive coach, Neumann coaches and trains teachers, mentors, and teams to unleash the power within to address the socio-emotional, academic, and critical social justice needs of today’s classrooms.
