Matthew Burt is a doctoral student in social psychology at Claremont Graduate University, studying under Professor Michael Hogg in the Division of Behavioral and Organizational Sciences. He currently serves as Co-President of CGU’s Psi Chi International Honor Society chapter. His research interests include humor, social identity theory, contact theory, communication accommodation theory, and bias reduction.
Matthew earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in psychology from Cal Poly Humboldt. Outside of his academic work, he enjoys playing video games, cooking, and exploring new cuisines.
