Nicholas Lopez is an assistant director of admissions at Claremont Graduate University, where he oversees admission and recruitment for the School of Social Science, Policy & Evaluation.
Lopez is a Vallejo, California, native with international experience that has shaped his commitment to pursue diverse and culturally rich environments in the workplace, in education, and in the community. He has worked within major Fortune 500 companies for the past 10 years and worked previously as a finance manager developing marketing, training, and recruitment strategies in Boston, Massachusetts. Through the combined experiences of his personal and professional endeavors, Lopez developed a passion for helping people reach their professional goals while developing relationships and networks that create long-lasting positive impacts in their lives.
Lopez received his BA in Studio Art from Pitzer College and, during his studies, studied abroad in Parma, Italy. He also holds a master degree rank in Kung-Fu San Soo and has been teaching self-defense classes at Claremont McKenna College for the past eight years.
