Rachel Camacho is the senior assistant director of admissions, managing recruitment and admissions for the School of Educational Studies and supporting these efforts for the School of Arts & Humanities.
Over the last 20 years, Camacho has worked with communities, nonprofit organizations, government entities, and educational institutions to increase their capacity to seek social justice and create opportunities for people to thrive and prosper. She previously served as director of the Upward Bound and Educational Talent Search Program at California State University, Fullerton.
An experienced educator, leadership architect, and applied researcher, Camacho has an MA in Education with a concentration in Higher Education from Claremont Graduate University and is pursuing her PhD in Education (expected 2018). She holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Pitzer College.
