Claremont Graduate University is committed to providing equal access to its facilities and programs to people with visual, auditory, motor or other disabilities. It is currently in the process of converting its electronic resources so that they comply with the WCAG 2.0 Level AA standard and with the Web Accessibility Initiative Accessible Rich Internet Applications Suite (WAI-ARIA) 1.0 standard.

Accessible electronic resources are ones that don’t rely on only visual cues to provide information, are organized and labeled in a simple, easy-to-follow manner, and allow users multiple ways to interact with the links, buttons, and forms.

The process of conversion includes training for staff and faculty on how to create accessible electronic content, a plan for converting legacy content, and use of a third-party monitoring system to alert CGU to problems with its website.

Questions about CGU’s accessibility efforts and issues with accessibility to electronic resources should be sent to CGU’s accessibility team.
