As associate director of strategic partnerships, Regina Wang identifies and tracks opportunities across the university with industry, academia, and the non-profit sectors to help drive increased enrollment and open doors to sponsored research, grants, and philanthropy.
Prior to joining CGU, Wang worked with the San Gabriel Valley Economic Partnership, where she served as the director of marketing and communications and facilitated partnerships with corporations, government agencies, educational institutions, nonprofits, and advertising agencies to raise the profile of the San Gabriel Valley.
Wang serves as a commissioner for the City of Pomona in the area of community life. She also consults with and serves as a board member for non-profit organizations.
She started her career as a digital storyteller. As a reporter, her work has appeared on TIME.com as well as newspapers in California, Missouri, and North Carolina.
Wang holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology, East Asian Studies from the University of California, Davis; and a Master of Arts in Journalism from the University of Missouri, Columbia. She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
