What skill sets do managers need to thrive in the field of supply chain and logistics? How are managers responding to a changing employee market? How do they attract and retain supply chain talent?

The Drucker School of Management’s Supply Chain Forum will explore these questions and more March 27 at 10:00 am in the Ron W. Burkle Family Building at Claremont Graduate University. The Drucker School’s Center for Supply Chain and Logistics will host supply chain experts including Amazon.com’s Juan Garcia, the Walt Disney Company’s Terrie Dean, Toyota North America’s Arturo Esquivel, and more for two exciting panel events about careers in the field and strategies for success as markets evolve.

The morning panel, “Professional Pathways in Supply Chain,” will feature experts sharing management experiences and discussing the broad skill set that is required to be successful in the field. Panelists will also reflect on changing roles in the field and discuss career trajectories and unique challenges.

The afternoon panel, “Company Culture as a Competitive Advantage,” will offer perspectives on the changing employee market and how to use company culture as a competitive advantage, with panelists sharing strategies for attracting and retaining supply chain talent. The panel will be followed by a networking reception.

For Associate Professor of Management Gary Gaukler, who directs the Center for Supply Chain & Logistics, the Drucker School’s location at the center of Southern California logistics operations “makes us the ideal venue for hosting this extremely important event.”

Capacity for this event is limited. Register to reserve a spot and for more detailed information about the schedule and participants. Lunch will be provided. Admission is free.
