Drucker School Names New Dean, Professor Jenny Darroch

Claremont Graduate University Professor of Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Marketing Jenny Darroch has been appointed the dean of the Drucker School of Management. Darroch has served as a member of the Drucker School faculty since 2004.

As MBA academic director, Darroch led a review of the MBA curriculum that resulted in a renewed orientation toward the Practice of Management and Management as a Liberal Art—a hallmark of Peter Drucker’s management philosophy.

Darroch’s scholarship focuses on questions and challenges that arise at the intersection of marketing and innovation. Her recent research examines how the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals align with Peter Drucker’s teachings on the beneficial impact of organizational success on society. A frequent contributor to The Huffington Post, Darroch is also the author of two books: Marketing Through Turbulent Times and Why Marketing to Women Doesn’t Work.

Darroch also holds the distinction of serving as the first female dean of the school.

“Jenny takes over leadership of the Drucker School at an important time,” says CGU Executive Vice President and Provost Jacob Adams. “Building out its strategic focus on creative industries, the Drucker School has some exciting new opportunities, from the new Downtown Los Angeles expansion to the Game Lab, a new initiative to train students in the creation of video games under the mentorship of executives from Pokémon and other leading companies.”
