Key Dates and Deadlines

CGU operates on a priority deadline cycle. Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit complete applications by the priority dates in order to assure maximum consideration for both admission and fellowships.

Once the priority deadlines have passed, the University will continue to review applications for qualified candidates on a competitive, space-available basis. The final deadlines listed are the last date the University can accept an application in order to allow sufficient time to complete the admissions, financial aid, and other enrollment processes.

Fall 2020

Final Deadline July 5, 2020
(International applicants)

There are no prerequisites for admission to this program.

In semester 2, students will have to prove competency in programming and databases prior to enrolling in Software Development & Programming (for the programming competency) and by week eight of the Databases & Big Data course (for the databases competency).

Courses that prove programming competency in an object-oriented language such as Java, Python, C++,, or Ruby may be easily completed through an online or in-class university, community college, or extension program course, as well as through verifiable completion of self-instruction on online MOOC platforms such as EdX and Coursera.

Students with limited knowledge of relational databases and SQL are expected to complete a series of free, self-paced mini-courses offered by Stanford University.

For more information about these competency requirements, contact Margo Cash, Assistant Director of Admissions.
