The MSFE-Math dual degree is open to students already enrolled in the MSFE program.
Prerequisites
- A qualified candidate is one who has taken upper division undergraduate math courses beyond the minimal math prerequisites required for admission to the MSFE.
- Students enrolled in the MSFE must apply to the dual degree option prior to completing 16 units of study in the MSFE.
- To be admitted, the dual degree students must satisfy the admission requirements of both degrees.
The MSFE-Math dual degree option requires students to take three additional math courses to get both the MSFE and Math masters degrees. The MSFE-Math dual degree requires satisfactory completion of 56 units of advisor approved coursework which must include at least 5 gamma level math courses.
