Drucker Philanthropy Club supports Habitat for Humanity

The Philanthropy Club at Claremont Graduate University joined the Habitat for Humanity Pomona Valley on their worksite on Sept. 29, 2012.

The initiative was to provide affordable housing for hardworking, low-income families and individuals in need. The volunteering activity took place at the worksite for a family housing in Ontario, California.

Thanks to the local companies who generously donated delicious sweets in support of the effort, the students successfully raised the funds to cover the cost of materials for the day’s build through a bakery sale. Through this event, the students from the Philanthropy Club wish to contribute their efforts towards the goal of providing “green building” that is affordable and sustainable for the homeowners and the community in which they live.
