University to Debut its First Online Master’s Programs for Fall 2018

Noodle Partners CGU

Claremont Graduate University has joined with Noodle Partners, the nation’s fastest-growing online higher education provider, to debut the first online master’s degree programs in the school’s 92-year history.

CGU, working with Noodle Partners, will build on existing strengths across the university to launch an array of cutting-edge, market-competitive online degree opportunities by September 2018. CGU is one of the nation’s leading graduate-only institutions, and online programs will thrive by serving students who are experienced learners. By offering flexibly designed programs and degree options online, CGU will be able to reach a larger group of students who will enjoy renowned faculty, small class sizes, and practice-based research, which will provide the tools needed to solve real-world problems and build meaningful careers.

“Claremont led a rigorous vetting of various online program managers but chose Noodle Partners because the faculty felt confident and comfortable with their creativity and flexibility versus other approaches that were lockstep and constraining,” said Patricia Easton, CGU’s executive vice president and provost. “Plus, Noodle Partners really helps us do what we do better—think about the next generation of graduate-level education. The way that technologies are moving, we can do a lot of innovative things with Noodle Partners. They were the only choice for us.”

Lorne Olfman, director of CGU’s Center for Information Systems & Technology, led the effort to bring these debut programs online: “We realized that we have a chance to pioneer the way we facilitate the learning process with Noodle Partners and can capture our intimate, close collaborative learning experiences that are unique to Claremont, online.”

A reimagining of the traditional online program management model, Noodle Partners leverages pre-vetted providers and the internal strengths of university partners to create successful programs. Bringing external expertise in key areas such as digital marketing, student recruitment, instructional design, and student support, Noodle Partners lowers costs while providing best-in-class service and transparency.

“We are honored to be chosen as Claremont Graduate University’s partner to trail-blaze its unique and highly-respected online graduate programs,” said John Katzman, CEO and founder of Noodle Partners. “Claremont’s reputation and national ranking have made it incredibly competitive, and we look forward to working with them to reinvent a variety of its in-demand online programs over the coming years.”
