“Drucker gave me that spark of encouragement and excitement that all these things I want to do with my career are possible. ”

After completing her undergraduate studies at Loyola Marymount University, Allyson Weber quickly began gaining momentum in her professional life. She was one of four individuals selected for a rotational program at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in Pasadena, California, just one week after earning her bachelor’s degrees. The program allowed Weber to work in all eight of JPL’s eight divisions across a six-month span with the guarantee of a job in the division of her choice at the end. She quickly realized that furthering her education would help her navigate her career path as it unfolded.

Weber explored various MBA program options across the country before learning about the Drucker School. A trusted colleague’s personal experience as a student at the school and a Drucker School information session led by Clinical Associate Professor Jay Prag, who would eventually become her mentor, piqued her interest.

The infusion of Peter Drucker’s principles and vision throughout the curriculum and a low student-to-faculty ratio attracted Weber to the opportunity for educational growth. She explained, “Drucker was the first school I researched that made me realize I wanted an MBA. Not just for the master’s degree, but because I wanted to learn.”

“At Drucker, I got encouragement that I’m not crazy for thinking this, that it is possible, and that I should pursue it.”
