“A lot of business schools are framework driven. What the Drucker School offers through its leadership practicum is more reflective and thoughtful. There will always be best practices. You can't completely ditch the framework. But this way you understand who you are, and then how you can improve without losing your distinct qualities.”

When he’s not in class, you’ll find part-time MBA student Chris Vezzuto at the center of the entertainment capital of the world. Vezzuto joined the team at Ticketmaster in Los Angeles, California, in an entry-level role before moving into his current position as a business architect. It was this shift in his career that encouraged him to continue his education.

Vezzuto began considering embarking on the same educational journey his father had begun. His father sat under the teachings of Peter Drucker for period of time and finds what he learned to be increasingly relevant in today’s world. Vezzuto also needed to be mindful of his demanding work schedule. It was important for him to find an MBA program that was flexible and allowed him to study at his own pace. Quality, both of faculty and curriculum, was another major priority. The more he researched, the more the Drucker School became both the practical and ideal choice.

Vezzuto considers the Drucker Philosophy class to be a milestone. The four-day intensive course exposes students to a survey of the lifework of Peter Drucker and sets expectations for what they will learn during the program. He explained, “It was full of applicable tactics and practical knowledge, but when you boiled it all down, it was very human.” He regularly applies what he learns in class to his work, often drawing on case studies or his time in the Leadership Practicum course, and finds Peter Drucker’s principles relevant and effective even in the modern environment he works in Monday through Friday.
