A recording of Claremont Graduate University Professor Peter Boyer's The Dream Lives On: A Portrait of the Kennedy Brothers, commissioned and premiered by the Boston Pops Orchestra in celebration of its 125th anniversary, is available for purchase.
The recording features narrators Robert De Niro reading the words of John F. Kennedy, Ed Harris reading the words of Robert F. Kennedy, Morgan Freeman reading the words of Ted Kennedy, and Cherry Jones reading words written for the work by Lynn Ahrens. Conductor Keith Lockhart leads the Boston Pops Orchestra and Tanglewood Festival Chorus. The recording was made during the premiere performances of the work at Boston's Symphony Hall in May.
