Maya Luque student artwork entitle Descent. geometric shapes draped over chairs

My work explores the connections between child, parent, and mortality. Through installation I examine the threat of a parents’ decline in health and its effect on a child. My installations are created primarily from beeswax or wire, the two of which often envelop the viewer. I create these spaces to emulate the whole consuming feeling of losing a loved one.
