Mohannad S. Malas is a principal and co-founder of IRA Capital. His responsibilities include raising equity for IRA’s private funds and syndicated offerings, while overseeing the firm’s overall investment strategy.

Malas also serves as the president and chief executive officer of The Dana Group, a full-service real estate operating company he established in 1984. Throughout his career, Malas has been directly involved in the acquisition, financing, management, development, and disposition of more than $1 billion in real estate across all product types. His investments portfolio consists of approximately $100 million of retail and office properties throughout Georgia, Florida, Colorado, and California. He is a lifetime founding member for the Mission Hospital Foundation and an advisor to Art Reach Foundation, and he has served on the board of directors for JDF (Juvenile Diabetes Foundation).

Malas is a licensed real estate broker in California, Colorado, and Georgia. He is actively involved in numerous leadership and executive organizations, including WPO (World President Organization), YPO (Young President’s Organization), and Chief Executive Organization. Malas received his Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the University of Manitoba-Winnipeg, Canada.

Malas joined the Claremont Graduate University Board of Trustees in 2009.
